Step-By-Step Guide to Programming HomeLink®

So, now that you know the answer to the question, “What is Homelink?” how do you connect your Chevy to HomeLink® to your garage door opener? Follow the simple steps below:

1. Look for three buttons to control HomeLink® on the ceiling above your center console in your Chevy. Press and hold the first and third buttons until your cabin lights slowly flash, typically taking about 20 seconds.
2. When the cabin lights start flashing, press and hold the button you want to program and simultaneously hold down the open/close button on your garage door opener. Your Chevy’s interior lights should flash quickly to show that the button is appropriately programmed.
3. Enter your garage and press the “learn” button on the garage door opener.
4. Next, get back inside your Chevrolet and press the button you programmed for at least two seconds until the lights in your garage door opener flash, which means it’s properly programmed.
